October was a very busy month for the KICS PE Department. In recognition of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in celebration of student achievement, we hosted our annual Inter-house Senior Swim-a-thon. Students seeked sponsorship throughout the month and on October 18th, swam continuously for 45 minutes, motivated by their progress in our recent Aquatics unit and in honor of those impacted by breast cancer. Spirits were high and we are proud to share that our students raised over 50,000 SDG for the Khartoum Breast Cancer Clinic. Other events during October included a 4km run and car wash which also donated total proceeds to the clinic. This month we also concluded our Boys’ Judo unit under the direction of Jamie and our high school Principal, Mr. Nigel.
